Installing issue

Aug 23, 2009 at 3:04 PM

I'm trying to install FSget on a PC not running FSX. When I launch FSget is says it needs to install SimConnect when I click install I get errors. But when I try to install the same thing on a PC running FSX everything works fine. Do you need to have FSX installed in order for this to work? It's stupid to install FSX on a PC just to have some program running. Is there a way to setup connection and have this working?

Hi Yan, FSGET links Flight Simulator to Google Earth.  If you don't have an aircraft to fly, you don't have anything to link.  Try Ctrl+Alt+A in Google Earth and you can sort of fly but it's a bit primitive after FSX.  You will probably need a joystick but you can get away with keyboard and mouse.
